Eligibility
Are there any prerequisites or certifications required for entry into this programme?
There are no prerequisites or certifications required but those with digital skill sets and keen interest to learn new skills will be favoured.
What types of disabilities will be considered for this programme?
For the March 2021 Talent Accelerator Programme, we are open to all disability type, includes ADHD and Dyslexia.
I'm currently employed, but I’m intending to quit soon. Can I apply for this programme?
You may apply but joining TomoWork’s Talent Accelerator Programme cannot be the reason why you are going to leave your job.
I am currently a 2nd year student at Temasek Polytechnic. Am I eligible?
You may apply, but the priority will be given to the graduating batch.
I am beginning a full-time job/traineeship in June. Can I apply for this programme?
You may apply, but the priority will be given to those who are actively looking for opportunities.
Will I be admitted into the programme if I am enrolling in university or enlisting for National Service?
Yes, you may apply as long as you can commit to TomoWork’s Talent Accelerator Programme. Please do also let us know of your intention to enrol in university or enlistment date for National Service.
Am I eligible for this programme if I do not have any disabilities?
TomoWork’s Talent Accelerator Programme is only open to those who have permanent disabilities.
I am a Temasek Polytechnic alumni with special education needs. Am I eligible for this programme?
If you are a Temasek Polytechnic alumni with special education needs and actively seeking employment, you may apply, although priority may be given to graduating Temasek Polytechnic students.
I am not a Temasek Polytechnic student but have special education needs. Can I join?
The March 2021 Talent Accelerator Programme is exclusively for Temasek Polytechnic students and alumni. However, please get in touch with our staff at hello@hideandseek.work so that we can consider you for our future runs.
Would being active in Co-Curriculum Activities (CCA), community work, or being an athlete be considered a plus point in applicants?
Any experience in CCA, community volunteering, sports, or leadership roles will be considered a plus.
Attendance
Is there a minimum attendance requirement for the programme?
Yes, all participants are expected to attend at least 90% of the sessions in the programme curriculum.
Can I choose to attend on specific days of the week?
Any absences should be supported by a valid reason and documentation. All participants are expected to attend at least 90% of the sessions in the programme curriculum. Please do consult us if you already have other planned commitments.
Can I be absent due to a medical appointment?
Yes, please let us know in advance if you are going to be absent. You should also provide us with documentation of your medical appointment.
Can I withdraw from the programme midway?
We would like to avoid such situations and consider withdrawals on a case-by-case basis. Please do inform us if you have conflicting planned commitments.
What is the duration of the programme on a daily basis?
It will generally be between 10 am and 5 pm.
Can I participate in this programme remotely due to my mobility issues?
Please consult our staff for a further discussion.
Corporate Projects
Can I choose the corporate project that I will be working on?
No, the corporate projects will be allocated according to your background, strengths, and the project requirements.
Would I be working on a single project or multiple projects during the programme?
You will be involved in one project for the entire duration of the programme. Participants will be assigned suitable projects based on their background, strengths, and the project requirements.
Learning
Will the learning be conducted physically or remotely?
The learning for the certifications will all be conducted virtually. There will be a guide at the start of the programme on how to access the materials and use it for your individual learning.
Would a certificate of completion be provided?
Yes. Upon completion of the programme, you will receive a physical certificate of completion for TomoWork’s Talent Accelerator Programme and digital certification of completions from your completed learning pathways by the respective certificate awarding body.
Employment
Will I be guaranteed a job after graduating from the programme?
There is no guarantee of a job after the programme. However, we are determined to help you in many ways, such as hosting networking sessions with corporates, building your LinkedIn profile and CV, preparing you for interviews, etc.
What are the employment opportunities available after I graduate?
We will be inviting more than 15 companies to participate in the corporate projects and industry briefing sessions. We will also circulate your profiles to interested corporate partners.
Others
Will meals be provided?
Participants are to make their own meal arrangements. The campus canteen will be open. Occasionally, we may cater a simple lunch.
Do I need a laptop for the programme?
A personal laptop with webcam is required for the programme. Should you need assistance in securing one, please approach the programme coordinator, and we will try our best to loan you one for the duration of the programme.
Will I be paid an allowance for the programme?
Upon successful completion of the whole programme, you will be provided a stipend of SGD $1,000.
Will I be required to pay any fees for this programme?
No, there are no fees involved in this programme. The learning pathways are sponsored in entirety.
